Add Your Contacts and Put Them In Groups! Just Like In Your Phone!
Contacts can be added individually and in large groups through a CSV file. They can also be added manually and automatically (when somebody texts your keyword or used the exchange contact feature).
Manage Your Group Contacts
Before we get started with adding Contacts, it would be a good idea to add a New Group to your account. This enables you to just click on the group name you wanted the contact to belong to as you create a new contact. Nonetheless, if you don't have a Group you wanted to add prior, you can still create a contact and it will go under the default Group - New Contact on your account.
To add a New Group, go to Actions > Manage Groups > + NEW GROUP
Type the Group Name and save the changes.
The New Group you created will appear under Contact Groups. You may edit or delete the new group(s) you've added to your account.
Adding a Contact Individually
1. To manually add an individual contact, go to the Contacts tab and click + NEW CONTACT
2. Fill out the information in the specified fields. These are the required fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Mobile Phone Number
3. Choose the contact group(s) you'd like this person to be in. By default, the contact will be under the New Contact group. You may unselect the group you don't want it to be added to. Be sure to click on ADD CONTACT to save the changes you made.
Adding Contacts in Large Groups (CSV Files)
Use a CSV file to upload large groups of contacts. You can get this from your Google contacts or iCloud contacts. To learn more about getting a CSV from Google or iCloud, click HERE.
To upload with a CSV, click Import Contacts.
1. Choose your File, if it has headers be sure to check the box.
2. Next, you can match up the data in your file with our information fields for each of the contacts. (Note: The only required data you need for each contact is First Name, Last Name, and Mobile number).
3. Select the Group(s) you wanted the contacts to belong to. You will want to check the "Data Update" box to make sure you don't add any duplicate contacts to your account. This will only work if the contacts in your file already exist in the contacts on your EPYPE account. It will not remove duplicates within the file itself. Type in the email you want to be notified of once the import process was done. Be sure to click on IMPORT CONTACTS to finish the import.
Adding a Contact Automatically
Keyword
A Contact will be created for somebody who opts in or follows you by texting your keyword to your EPYPE number. Any available information for them will be saved.
Exchange Contacts
When you use the Exchange Contacts feature on an EPYPE, one option that is available is to have people send you their contacts. They can fill out a quick form and send it to you. They will be saved in your account contacts.
