Reach More People Through Keywords
A ‘keyword’ is a word that people will text to your Epype phone number in order to opt-in and receive your Epype. You can use this keyword in your ads, when speaking, networking, etc.
For example:
You might write in your ad - “Text JAMIE (your Epype keyword) to 888-123-4567 (assigned Epype phone number) to learn more about (name of the product you’re selling).”
When speaking or networking, you might ask everyone to take out their phones and text your keyword to your Epype phone number in order to get a special discount code or your free e-Book.
When people text your keyword to your Epype number, they have officially opted in and they’ll immediately receive two response text messages from you.
The first response text message they’ll receive is an "Opt-in message".
There are strict laws in place about texting groups of people. You can have full confidence that we’ll be following the laws so you’ll never need to worry.
The second response text message they’ll receive is your “Response Message”.
The Response Message is an introductory message with some basic information about the content of your Epype.
Let's Create a Keyword!
To Get Started, click on Keywords under the Marketing Dropdown.
Then click on Add a new Keyword.
3 Easy Steps in Creating a Keyword
1. Keyword - Choose a simple word for your keyword.
2. Opt-in Info - Here you can type a brief description of what your messages will be. You can also choose how often you will be sending messages (you can only send up to this many messages). This section covers legal compliance.
Notice that there is a preview of what your message will look like on the box on the right.
3. Message - You can personalize your response to people who opted-in and add your Epype link. Here, it is best to have a generic message because this is what people get when they start following you (a welcome message works great). Click on Add Keyword and you successfully created a Keyword!
Manage Your Keywords
You can go back to Keywords under Marketing Dropdown to manage your existing Keywords.
Click on the keyword to make changes to an existing keyword.
Information You Can Change:
- Opt-In Message
- Frequency of Sending Messages
- Response Message including Epype link attached
- Contact Group the person who opted in that keyword will be added to
- Sending Drip Messages.
Note: Drip messages are automated messages that are sent at some time after the first message was sent to remind people to either view the Epype or other call to action items. You can have up to 5 drip messages set for 1 keyword.
Be sure to Save Changes after.
